Interested candidates are welcome to apply to become a Radiate Rwanda Literary Excellence Award 2025 winner. Start by applying and attaching your book abstract below. Good luck!

RULES FOR ELIGIBLE BOOKS/AUTHORS 

The proposed book must be written in one or more of the officially recognized languages in Rwanda (Kinyarwanda, English, French) 

The proposed book must not go against the values of respect and tolerance. 

The proposed book must demonstrate literary excellence.

The proposed book must be professionally published and should be available in bookshops. 

The nominated book must ideally have been published no less than 24 months before the date of the announcement of the prize winner (deadline for 2025: Aug 2023), except for the Lifetime Achievement Award. The author has at least published two books.

Language (English and French).

Writing types (Fiction, Non-Fiction, Autobiography, Essay, Poem).

SUBMISSION CRITERIA 

Submission must agree to the conditions below: APPLICATION: All applicants must adhere to the required eligibility criteria mentioned above.

APPLICATION FORM: Fill out all required information on the application form. 

BOOK SUBMISSION: Books will be received in both physical (1 KG 504 St Gacuriro, Kigali, Rwanda) and digital formats (PDF) with your application.

Selection of Winners

A jury of five members will determine the winners of this year's award. They are five highly qualified literature, arts, and culture experts willing to look into your work and vote on it.
